Mr. Ideno joined RPX in 2013 after nearly 25 years with Seiko Epson Corporation, most recently as a Deputy General Administrative Manager of Intellectual Property Division. At Seiko Epson, he drove its intellectual property strategy as a leading expert, with responsibility for licensing, IP litigation, and patent prosecution. Among his notable accomplishments, he brought successful conclusions in many licensing negotiations with dozens of Japanese and foreign companies and is credited with minimizing the company’s patent risk related to NPE litigation.
Prior to joining Seiko Epson in 1989, Mr. Ideno served as R&D Engineer at Shinano-Kenshi Corporation, as well as previously at Canon Electronics Inc.
Mr. Ideno holds a BS in Physics from Tokyo University of Science.
