Executive Vice President, General Counsel
Emily Gavin is Executive Vice President, General Counsel at RPX Corporation. Prior to joining RPX, Ms. Gavin was an attorney in private practice focusing on intellectual property and technology licensing, acquisition, spin-outs, and other transactions in the high tech sector, as well as counseling related to open source and digital media. Earlier in her legal career, she also gained experience in corporate and securities law matters for both public and emerging growth companies. Ms. Gavin was a founding partner at Virtual Law Partners, the first large scale virtual law firm, and she was previously an attorney in the Silicon Valley offices of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Ms. Gavin received her JD from the University of Chicago Law School and her BA in English from the University of Texas. She is a member of the state bar of California.
