Shoichi Endo brings more than 20 years of experience in international business development and engineering management. Prior to joining RPX, Mr. Endo was the Senior Director of Business Development at Immersion Corporation (NASDAQ:IMMR), a company developing, licensing and marketing haptic (touch feedback) technology. Mr. Endo was responsible for the licensing and business development programs, and played a leading role in helping launch haptic-enabled products from world’s leading brands including BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and Samsung. Also he was part of an executive team that negotiated a successful license agreement with SONY.
Prior to joining Immersion, Mr. Endo was the Director of Japan-Asia Pacific at Gensym Corporation (acquired by Versata Enterprises, Inc.), a provider of reasoning engine software for enterprise and mission-critical systems that automate decisions in real time. Prior to Gensym, he held various engineering leader positions at Toshiba Corporation in Japan, managing Network Management Systems development for electric utility companies worldwide.
Mr. Endo holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Sophia (Jochi) University, Tokyo, Japan.
