Vice President, Business Development Asia
Ming-Ren Shiu is Vice President of Business Development at RPX Asia Corporation. Prior to joining RPX, Mr. Shiu was the Asia Regional Director of Western Union. There, he led cross-functional teams and cross-border talents including business development, operations, legal, finance, and marketing to develop and deploy market strategies. He and his teams also negotiated and completed complex business deals with major financial institutions to accelerate business growth in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau. Before relocating to Asia, Mr. Shiu was the Marketing Director of North America at Western Union and the first employee dedicated to growing Asian segments in the US and Canada. He was responsible for developing a high-caliber team that enabled Western Union to transform itself from an unknown brand to market leadership among Asian Americans and Asian Canadians.
Mr. Shiu holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, and a BA from National Taiwan University.
