Vice President, Business Development
Lynn Markham is Vice President of Business Development at RPX Corporation, where he primarily focuses on the media content & distribution, financial services, and networking sectors.
Prior to joining RPX in 2020, Mr. Markham was head of the Deals & Data Analytics group at Via Licensing, a patent pool subsidiary of Dolby Labs, in San Francisco. He helped exceed revenue targets through business development and revenue recovery efforts while also leading the data analytics program to research potential licensees and create complex models to determine pricing for audio and wireless patent pools. Via Licensing sent him on an expat assignment to work in Tokyo, Japan as he visited and negotiated deals with lawyers and key IP stakeholders at consumer electronics companies throughout the APAC region.
Mr. Markham began his career at Qualtrics as an account executive licensing software to South Korean universities and businesses as the company’s first Korean speaking hire. He then entered the IP space through a nontraditional path as a forensic CPA for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Los Angeles. In PwC’s Forensic Advisory Services Group, he specialized in performing onsite licensing and other IP related audits and investigations of licensees in APAC and Europe for patent pools and other large IP holders.
Mr. Markham received a BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He resides in Southern California with his wife and five children.
